Setting up an account with LEX is just like setting up any other investment account. We comply with all relevant laws and regulations, which are designed to protect investors and require us to verify our investors’ identities.
We use Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocols, which provide privacy and data integrity between devices and servers. Our servers operate in physically secured and protected data centers.
Our website and app are secured with AES 128-bit encryption, as recommended by PCI DSS standards. All information is encrypted between your device and our servers and encrypted when it is stored. This means that no one else can access your information, even if you use LEX on an unsecure WiFi network.
Investments through LEX are protected up to $500,000 in securities and $250,000 in cash through the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC). For details, please see www.sipc.org.
Investments are held by Apex Clearing Corporation, a 3rd party registered broker-dealer that is also a member of the SIPC.
Biometrics, such as a fingerprint or facial scan, can be used to access the LEX app.
